Learner centered education

In our last lecture we learn about the learner centered education over teacher centered education and in learner centered education the education the methods are mainly focused on learner. That means students learn what they prefer. There is no standard learning materials or a syllabus or any criteria but  they ask from the students about what are their interested areas and what they want to learn. So in Learner centered education both start point and the end point is the learner. He controls the entire learning process and they are the main focus of the organization.

The above graph shows how learner centered education methods interact with learners.Previously i did not have any idea about student centered learning but last lecture was all about the difference between student centered learning and teacher centered learning.

Benefits of student centered learning over teacher centered learning

• Teacher knows what exactly the student wants and can focus on them directly.
• Can evaluate information.
• Students can have self awareness of their learning .
• Students can be responsible of their own learning so they are going to focus more.

Simply e learning is electronic learning. That is the use of technology to deliver an output to the users for learning purposes.So people who are in capable of having any electronic device such as a desktop computer, a laptop, tablets,a mobile or whatever, can reach to e learning.

• Cost effective because the learner do not want to go anywhere and lesser cost on paperwork.
• E learning is every where at anytime so anybody who is interested can reach at anytime.
• Large number of resources are available.
• Easy to use for the learner.
• It is easy to keep a device to read all the materials rather than keeping number of books.

E learning has become the latest trend  in modern education system. The reasons behind the e learning concept are,

• Real time access to the sources so that teacher and the students can interact via chats and video conference etc.
• Can store large number of data (documents) for both the students and the teacher so students can reach to those sources easily at any time just by surfing through internet.
